If your EMP installation fails for any reason, please send the following information to support at jak.com. We will review and get back to you as soon as possible to resolve your issue.
During EMP installation (when installed on same server as your Microsoft Exchange Server), EMP will attempt to automatically change the SMTP port on which Exchange Server listens for incoming SMTP connections, from the default of 25 to 26. This is necessary because EMP must listen on port 25 and only one server can listen on port 25 at a time.
If for some reason, EMP is unable to automatically change your Exchange Server's listening SMTP port (Usually due to your server's security settings), you must manually change your mail server's listening SMTP port to 26. You must also make this change yourself, if your mail server is not Microsoft Exchange Server.
Microsoft Exchange Server 2010
1. Open the Exchange System Manager
2. Microsoft Exchange On-premises
3. Server configuration
4. Hub Transport
5. Receive Connectors tab
6. Right-click on: Default <servername>
7. Choose Properties
8. Network tab
9. Select each line and click Edit
10. You must change each line from the default value of 25, to 26 (even though you might not be using IPv6, you must change both IPv4 and IPv6 ports)
11. Click on OK to save - Exchange will automatically restart its SMTP listeners on the new port.

Lotus Domino

In Red Hat 7.x, you have to change 'Port=smtp' to 'Port=26' (without the single quotes) within the following line:
DAEMON_OPTIONS('Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')
Save your changes to /etc/sendmail.cf by using the following command:# m4 /etc/mail/sendmail.mc > /etc/sendmail.cf
Then restart sendmail:
# service sendmail restart
A few easy steps, permit you to embed EMP's end-user web interface directly into Outlook, for a more integrated work experience.
Folders within Outlook can have their home page set, which allows any web application to be run within the Outlook folder, including EMP.
Simply set the homepage for your existing mailbox folder: ie. Mailbox - Your Name, or create a new folder, naming it something like: EMP.
Here's the steps to create a folder that holds the myEMP interface:
1. Open Outlook
2. Create a new folder called: EMP
3. Right-click on the new folder
4. Choose Properties and then Home Page
5. Enter your path to EMP: ie: http://YourServerOrIP:9090
6. Click on OK
7. Voila!
Now when you choose this folder, EMP runs within Outlook.
To avoid the appearance of scroll bars, the minimum screen resolution for embedded use, is 1280 x 1024.
Integrated, but protected.
You and your users can feel confident when running embedded EMP, that quarantined email is safely isolated from Outlook, by the EMP protective shell. There is no danger of contamination by viruses and other malicious exploits that may exist within the quarantined email.
Unlike many less sophisticated spam filters, which utilize Outlook to display quarantined messages, EMP is visually contained only, providing full EMP functionality for the user within a safe, but integrated email processing environment.
Note to EMP administrators: The above process embeds EMP's web interface (Quarantine, White list, Statistics) only. There is still some functionality (such as creating custom filters, loading valid recipients, modifying domains, setting/unsetting protocol logging, that requires the EMPmanager application interface.
Extensible Messaging Platform ( EMP 7), will stop Exchange spam, phishing attacks and email borne viruses before they reach Exchange Server or the organization's employees and customers.
